An anthology from the very important work of the top Greek composer Yiannis Markopoulos, in a double CD released by the Greek National Radio Foundation (EPT) in 1992. You will find excellent selections from more than 15 albums of the talented composer, released from 1965 till 1991. Ideal compilation for anyone who wants to be introduced to the style of Markopoulos' music, through very popular compositions, but also some not so known ones, yet amazingly beautiful. Some of the greater greek voices will be your guides through this wonderful musical journey.

The famous Greek mezzo-soprano interprets 11 well known greek songs of Manos Hadjidakis, Mikis Theodorakis, Stavros Xarhakos and Vasilis Tsitsanis. The selection and the arrangements are of Stavros Xarhakos. The classical flavor of Baltsa's voice meets the superb bouzouki sound of Kostas Papadopoulos, creating a unique atmosphere. The album is a musical masterpiece. You will find included a booklet with the lyrics of all songs and comments by Stavros Xarhakos, in three languages.

"The street" (O dromos) is the album with more sales than any other in the Greek musical history. It was released in 1969, during the military junta by the prominent composer and excellent jazz pianist, Mimis Plessas, with main singer the young and talented Yiannis Poulopoulos. The lyrics are of Lefteris Papadopoulos, the most popular and productive lyricist with a career of more than 40 years. Together with Yiannis Poulopoulos, you will hear two female singers, Rena Koumioti and in the second track, the young representative of the "New Wave" greek ballad style, Popi Asteriadi. A collector's item, fully remastered in a fresh, 2011 edition.

One of the best CD of Dimitris Mitropanos with music of the brilliant composer and pianist Thanos Mikroutsikos. Powerful and passionate songs and among them some excellent "zeimbekika" with the unique folk voice of Mitropanos. An album that became many times platinum and remains till today at the first places in the preferences of zeimbekiko's fans. In some refrains you will have the opportunity to hear the "other top folk voice" of Greece, Pashalis Terzis, in harmonic duet with Dimitris Mitropanos.
